Showing Bulldogs
Showing dogs has become a fascination for thousands of dog owners
throughout this country and overseas.
We first started by attending Ringcraft which is really helpful for both
handler and dog, and a great deal can be learnt. You can contact the
Kennel Club direct to find your nearest
Ringcraft/Dog Training Club. Every dog has a different
characteristic and hence has to be handled in a different way. But also
knowing your dogs' character is not only needed for handling and showing,
but for creating a bond between owner and dog. Without this bond you can't
tell when your dog is unhappy, distressed or just simply ill.

There are many useful resources which can help you
understand your dog and help you to over come problems in every day living
and in the show ring, we've found many books to be a good resource and
recommend some on the breed information page, you can buy
The Pet Owners Guide to the Bulldog
by Judith Daws online @ WH Smiths.
Joining Breed clubs are also a good step to understanding and finding out
about the breed, we belong to just a few, London Bulldog Society and Bulldog Club Inc, though no doubt there is one within
your county, and you can find out by viewing our
Breed
Club page.
