We are situated in the south coast of England just below London.
Brighton is a seaside resort with a population of 143,600(1991). Brighton
was originally a fishing village called Brighthelmstone and became
Brighton in the beginning of 19th Century.
Brighton was known as a fashionable health resort
patronized by Prince Regent, with two piers, "West Pier" and
"Palace Pier" and is most famous for it's Regency architecture the
"Royal Pavilion" which is a very unique building in oriental style
(built 1782) and took 35 years to build!
Jackie Lamont (Mother):
Jackie is the main
drive behind LaRoyal, being the lady behind the scenes providing
the solid base on which LaRoyal can thrive. She's a member of the Bulldog
Club Inc. and London Bulldog Society and is always willing to offer advice
and introduce new people to the breed. Her interest in the breed was
triggered when her youngest son was determined to own a bulldog, after
careful consideration, we took on our first rescue dog which stole the
whole families devotion to the breed!
Jackie enjoyed her first judging appointment in July 2000, the high entry
and low absentee rate made her day even more successful. Jackie is a Breed
Council approved judge and looks forward to progressing in this area.
Sara Lamont (Daughter):
Having grown up with bulldogs from the age of 6, they have always been a
permanent priority in my life. In 1997 when we started showing I was soon
to be given the title of "LaRoyal Handler", winning 2nd place at London
Bulldog Society Limited show in Junior Handling, with
Ambledown Dawn
Crusader of LaRoyal.
My greatest achievement to date was handling Balfour Action Man of LaRoyal
to he's Champion title at the age of 17 in 1999. I have has also
participated in basic Obedience with Kenex Albianna of LaRoyal, achieving
the Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen Award in 1999.
In February 2002 I became a committee member of
The Bulldog Club Inc.
breed club. I am keen to keep learning in this
field, and after stewarding for my mum's judging appointment in July 2000, I decided to progress in
this area. I've attended and participated at a stewarding seminar held by
the Stewards Guild, and recently taken and passed the
Kennel Club "Rules
and Regulations" exam along with the
Kennel Clubs "Confirmation and
Movement" Seminar. Like my mother, I am Breed Council approved
judge, and look forward to future appointments.
I also keep myself busy designing various websites, mainly
for kennels around the Uk -
