Leicester City C.S Open Show – 27th August 2012

French Bulldogs
Thank you to my attentive stewards Sandra and Rachel, also to the club for the invitation to judge and last but by no means least the exhibitors. All dogs shown were in good clean condition, personalities typical of the breed and no unsound movement.

Puppy (5,0bs)

1. Saka De Elka Gyvybes Zyme Kuredeux (BOB & BP), 11mth standard sized, compact brindle bitch. Soft expression due to super dark round eyes, well rounded cheeks and correctly domed forehead. Head fixed with well set and shaped ears on a good length of neck. Sufficient straight bone to compact feet, walking her width and excelling in movement. Owner waited for the group judging, where she was shortlisted in the final stages.
   
2. Doreen's Sweet Shop (RBOB), 8mth clear double hooded pied bitch. A lovely balanced baby with correct topline, straight front to very compact paws with super short nails. Very pretty head which was fine in detail emphasising her femininity, missed out on the class win as I would have preferred a darker eye. Moved well.

2. Jalatemme's Quizz Me Quentin, Strong headed 14mth old fawn dog. Grand head that’s well made with good fit and turn of jaw, soft expression due to acceptable amount of wrinkle and dark eye. Moved soundly, but would have liked a more substantial body to give him a fully balanced appearance.

1. Kidwelly Eight, clear double hooded male pied that I’ve judged before. Standard sized, balanced male that excels in movement. Enough work in skull with correct dome of forehead. Good ears and correct carriage. Strong neck leading to a compact, but not stuffy, body. Today he just lacked the required alert personality and was alittle out of condition which cost him any higher awards. 2. Eastonite Boy Louis, another strong square headed fawn male. Well boned compact body with good tuck up. Strong bone to compact feet. Would benefit from some additional weight to help balance him more. Moved ok.
