Junior (3,1abs)
  1. Thorne’s Castletop Penderyn, B/W 9mth old B. Beautifully balanced, good movement, Good clear spotting on coat and suitability broken over the ears. Straight front, Good eye pigment. BP
  2. Lucas’s Dalmark the Can Can Girl of Packway, B, L/W, correct eye and pigment. Slightly longer in the loin but well knitted body. Preferred front movement of 1.

Post Graduate (3, 0)
  1. Blissett’s Shydally’s King Arthur of Kystuno, B/W 2.5 year old D, won this class on strength and balance of skull and pushed hard for BOB. Good eye and pigment, coat in good condition and suitability marked, moved with purpose, RBOB.
  2. Bowers & Knight’s Tyrodal One Step Ahead, L/W, B, 21mths old. Heavier in markings but well defined and brilliant in colour. Feminine head, firm body but lacking alittle depth of brisket, correct tail and set, moved with confidence and power.
  3. Carrick’s Selbygay Toinette

Open (3,1abs)
  1. Thorne’s Cibrith Cosmos at Castltop, L/W B, Won the class on body outline due to well-developed chest, spring rib and depth of brisket, level topline with strength over loin. Good sized skull with correct tight eye which was well pigmented, level bite of jaw. Head held well on strong neck especially on the move, BOB.
  2. ates & Bonner’s Aritas Arrival at Caprilli ShCM, B/W B in good condition, coat of good markings. Shorter on leg and neck then my winner, but sufficient head and sound in movement.

Post Graduate (5, 3abs)
  1. Morgan & Ling’s Norcairn Dark n Debonair at Tytorro, Compact and stocky Brindle D with short back. Beautiful strong, well balanced head with an appealing expression, the best of jaws, good fit of eye and set of ears. Covered the ground well. RBOB & BP
  2. Castles Garni Boquet Girl with Sarabellew, Red Fawn B with dark mask. Correct size skull with appealing expression and suitable wrinkling, ear set could be a little higher and I preferred the movement of 1st.

Open (3, 1abs)
  1. Swateridge’s Skybull Marie Antoinette Xentique, Clear brindle pied B, excelled in showmanship especially on the move. Well-built due to strength of chest, spring of rib and depth of brisket. Suitable bone to tight paws. Broad skull, tight dark eye and good ear carriage, BOB.
  2. Morgan & Ling’s Chalfs Miss Kiki at Tytorro, Ticked Pied B with dominate hood. Sufficient head size, good flat skull between ears and correct ear size and setting. Well filled cheeks and fit of eye. Suitable body length and well-muscled quarters, moved well.

(8, 1abs) I felt this was an extremely strong class in numbers and quality, and I’m sure some of the dogs will change places in the future
  1. Caffel & Kavanagh’s Mantricks Olympic Star, Square, well proportioned, compact P&S B, correct harsh coat of good trim. Correct sloping topline which was maintained on the move. Suitable head size with neat ears, dark eye and a correct level bite. I was happy to award her RBOB & BP.
  2. Morris’ Holmsley Diamond Jubliee, P&S B, slightly heavier then 1st but suitably correct topline and tail of good set. Well-developed front, appealing expression due to dark eyes and correct bite of jaw. Moved with ease.
  3. Myers & Hale’s Ersmy Swings the Mood

Post Graduate (3, 0abs)
  1. Hale’s Ersmy Paws for Thought, Well groomed P&S, tidy B of good overall size and shape. Correct quality coat which was well groomed. Strong neck leading to correct topline which was maintained on the move and won her this class. Correctly narrowing skull with dark eyes and correct bite and lips providing a keen expression.
  2. Dowsett’s Kopykats Hot Lips, P&S B. I really liked this girl! Harsh coat slightly longer than most. Well grown in size but still in proportion, good tail set and length. Well balanced skull with correct ear set and shape with nice dark eye of good size.
  3. Cullen’s Kedsan Fix Me a Drink

Open (5, 2abs)
  1. Rocksville Undercover ShCM JW, D of suitable size for sex. Won the class on strength of head and jaw. Well groomed P&S in good coat with tidy outline. Straight front, strong neck with good length and size of skull. Clear dark eye, set well and expressive. Balanced and sound movement pleased to award him BOB & Utility Group 4.
  2. Palmer’s Jenkins’ Wundai Three Times a Lady, P&S sharp, neat B. Correct sloping topline maintained on the move. Good width of skull and suitable eye, sufficient width and bite of jaw.
  3. Hards’ Brumist Dancin the Nite Away

Akita
I stood in as a replacement judge for Akitas and Canaan Dogs. I have to say I enjoyed my first time judging both these breeds. All winners received my awards in good sportsmanship.

Junior (5, 1abs)
  1. Browns & Nicholls’ Darquenvy Ring Master, 9mth old f/w with black overlay, well-proportioned large male. Strong front, heavy bone on strong pasterns to super tight cat feet with short nails. Massive skull, tight eye of good size and correct bite of jaw. Thick strong neck well bodied with good depth to brisket. Good coat & rear angulation. Good tail. BP
  2. Bennett’s Rokushii’s My Name is Tulula by Seijitsu, B, Br/W only just 6mths. Smaller in stature to winner but well balanced with strong front, well boned straight legs to compact tight paws. Appealing expression due to dark eye, thick ears which were correctly set. Good level topline and tailset, moved with strength and purpose.
  3. Nichollas’ Shyllar Darquenvy Seize the Spirit, D

Post Graduate (3, 0abs)
  1. Allen’s Shykiss Halo, I really liked this f/w with black overlay bitch. Such a beautiful balance of femininity and strength. Strong front well boned to strong pasterns and tight cat shaped paws. Beautiful length of neck to a wells sized skull with clear dark well fitting eye. Correct level topline held well on the move, correct full tail and good rear angulation moving well, RBOB.
  2. Nicholls’ Shyllar Raise Your Stakes, Strong male in good coat and condition, strong boned and moved well.
  3. Hughes’ Kabu Iron Hyde

  1. Nicholls’ Kabu’s Shine Thur Shyllar, D, F/w with a black overlay, stood alone but worthy of class win and BOB. Well sized male in good coat, correct level topline, sound movement striding out well. Good strong straight bone well filled chest and depth of brisket, tight dark eye and thick ears. Strong neck and good tail and set, BOB.

Canaan Dog

  1. Hasting’s Nizzana Yoomee Lorianna, 8mth old appealing sand coated B. Good dark eye, level bite of jaw and suitable bone, correct topline and tail. Showing typical breed characteristics but made it slightly difficult for me to judge. Only lost out on BOB due to fluency of movement, RBOB & BP.

  1. Kaye & Byrne’s Nizzana Ganymede, spotted B, good level topline maintained on the move, expressive correct dark almond eye. Could have used ears and tail more, but seemed extremely comfortable in the ring and moved well, BOB. Judge Sara Lamont (LaRoyal)
