On Sunday 24th February 2019 I drove to Bisley Village Hall for the South of England Bulldog Society's Open Show.

It was a very successful day, with the retired 'superstar' Lacey dusting off the 'show shoes' and having a day out showing the Brat Dog how it's really done!

Lacey won veteran class and BEST VETERAN IN SHOW. Her younger travel companion Dusty did take it one step further by winning 1st Junior, Best Bitch and BEST IN SHOW, super achievement for a young female from an entry of 50 dogs.

It took me too any trips to the car to load up all my prize wins! 2 bottles of Prosecco, 2 big bags of dog treats, 2 ball launcher and ball, 2 tug ropes, 15kg bag of Skinners dog food, 2 kg of Harringtons and some lovely large rosettes! Oh and my raffle prize!

Finally after waiting a month and 10 days Dusty aka the Brat dog acquired her final Junior Warrant point.

Junior Warrant is a title awarded by the Kennel Club for dogs that accrue 25 points from the page of 6 months to 18 months old. They must win a class at both Open and Championship levels. 

Dusty gained 15 points at Championship shows and 10 at Open shows. This means she'll be awarded her studbook number. To be fair she already had one and in fact technically has 3 but it's nice that this award means she'll officially get a show name upgrade with her tittle being added to the end of her name, LaRoyal Lead by Example J.W
